Add the diced strawberries and granulated white sugar to a medium bowl.
Stir them together until the strawberries are evenly coated.
Let the strawberries sit in the sugar to macerate (soften) for 30 minutes.
Place the macerated strawberries in a blender and add the milk and heavy cream.
Blend everything together until well blended and the mixture is frothy. (I ran the blender through the smoothie cycle twice).
Optional: Strain the strawberry milk into a pitcher of at least 24 ounces.
Serve in two (12 ounce) glasses or refrigerate until ready to serve.
