Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries roughly chopped (~ 32 fresh strawberries)
  • cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Add the diced strawberries and granulated white sugar to a medium bowl.
  • Stir them together until the strawberries are evenly coated.
  • Let the strawberries sit in the sugar to macerate (soften) for 30 minutes.
  • Place the macerated strawberries in a blender and add the milk and heavy cream.
  • Blend everything together until well blended and the mixture is frothy. (I ran the blender through the smoothie cycle twice).
  • Optional: Strain the strawberry milk into a pitcher of at least 24 ounces.
  • Serve in two (12 ounce) glasses or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Makes 2 12-ounce servings.
