A Tequila Sunrise is a vacation MUST for me and my friends, so this tropical drink recipe is one of my favorites. It’s super easy to make and it is so tasty!
This Tequila Sunrise cocktail recipe is a summertime must. It only requires 3 ingredients and takes almost no time at all to make and not to mention it is one of the prettiest drinks out there! All you need to make this tropical drink recipe is some orange juice, tequila, and grenadine, and if you’re feeling extra fancy you can top it off with an orange slice and a cherry for that extra tropical feel.

- 4 Ounces Orange Juice
- 2 Ounces Tequila
- ¼ Ounce Grenadine
- Ice

- Remove the tequila for a delicious mocktail
- Do you want a sweeter drink? Try Sunny D instead of orange juice
- Use pulp free orange juice for the smoothest taste
- Stir it up well before drinking for the best flavor
How to make a Tequila Sunrise
- Fill a glass ¾ of the way with ice
- Pour Tequila and Orange Juice into your glass
- Gently pour the Grenadine down the side of the glass and wait a few seconds for it to settle
- Enjoy the gorgous sunrise in your glass before stirring
- Top with a cherry and an orange slice

Tequila Sunrise
Ingredients
- 4 Ounces Orange Juice
- 2 Ounces Tequila
- ¼ Ounce Grenadine
- Ice
Instructions
- Fill your cup ¾ of the way with ice.
- Pour the tequila and orange juice into the glass.
- Pour your grenadine gently down the side of the glass and let it settle for a few seconds.
- Enjoy the layered colors before stirring. It will turn into a gorgeous blood orange color.
- Top with a cherry, orange slice, and maybe one of those umbrellas, and enjoy!
Notes
- Unless you really love your pulp, be sure to use pulpless orange juice for the smoothest results
- If you have a larger glass, you’ll want to add about ½ an ounce of grenadine instead and another 2 ounces of orange juice. For example, the hurricane glasses filled better with this adjustment
- Give your drink a stir before diving in for the best taste
