Making a cheeseburger in an air fryer is one of my favorite dinners. There is no easier way to cook a burger, and it tastes just as good, if not even better, than a cheeseburger off of the grill!

When dinnertime rolls around and I have no idea about what I should make air fryer cheeseburgers are always there to save the day. These delicious cheeseburgers don’t even take 30 minutes to make and they are always a hit with my friends and family. Cheeseburgers are also so easy to customize, so you can make sure everyone has their burger exactly how they like it!

What do I need to make air fryer cheeseburgers?

  • Ground Beef
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Steak Sauce
  • Soy Sauce
  • Burger Buns

What toppings should I use?

  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Sliced Red Onion
  • Sliced Tomato
  • Romain Lettuce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Yellow Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Bacon
  • Pickles
  • Anything else you may want to add!

What kitchen tools do I need?

  • An air fryer
  • Glass mixing bowl
  • Cutting board

Can I store an air fryer cheeseburger?

You can store these air fryer cheeseburgers in the fridge for 2-3 days in a well-sealed container, but make sure to store them separately from the buns and toppings. They can also be stored in a freezer for 2-3 months if well covered.

How to make air fryer cheeseburgers

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, and steak sauce, then mix everything until it is fully combined. 
  3. Form your patties and then place them into an air fryer basket. (For an easier cleanup, set the patties on aluminum foil and then place it in the air fryer basket). The patties will shrink while cooked. So, make them slightly bigger than the burger bun. 
  4. Air fry the hamburger patties at 380°F for 6 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness. (This time is for a Well-Done hamburger)
  5. As soon as they are out of the fryer, top with slices of cheddar cheese.
  6. Assemble each burger by placing patty on potato burger bun and then layering with your desired toppings. I recommend red onion, tomato, lettuce, bacon, pickles, and 1 Tablespoon of mayonnaise, mustard, and/or ketchup on the inside of both buns.
  7. Plate and then serve.

Ingredients
  

Burger

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon steak sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 4 burger buns

Toppings

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • ½ red onion sliced
  • 1 to mato sliced
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce
  • 4 Tablespoons mayonnaise yellow mustard, and/or ketchup, optional
  • 4 slices of bacon cooked and cut in half, optional
  • 8 slices of pickles optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees F. 
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, and steak sauce. Mix everything until fully combined.

  • Air fry patties at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness. 
  • As soon as they are out of the fryer, top with slices of cheddar cheese.
  • Assemble each burger by placing patty on potato burger bun and then layering with red onion, tomato, lettuce, bacon, pickles, and 1 Tablespoon of mayonnaise, mustard, and/or ketchup on the inside of both buns.
  • Plate and serve.

Notes

  • If you like your burger to be very well seasoned, double the amounts of seasoning from the recipe. 
  • This cook time will result in a well-done burger. If you like your burger less done, decrease the cook time slightly.
